Michaelous

Young drummer Michael, born and raised in southern Germany, was stimulated by Neu!'s Motorik rhythm, an early predecessor of the techno beat. And 80s New Wave heavily awakened his abiding love for synthesizers. But from humble Alpha-Juno recordings with a Tascam to successful dance tracks and remixes for Animal Trainer and Marc Romboy it was a long way. In the 90s Michaelous oscillated between Berlin's rave scene and the famous Kitkat club on one side and esoteric stuff like shamanism on the other. His genre-bending productions were on a quest for an unknown land between techno, psy, electro and ambient til the zero years. Finally as a kind of late maturity Michaelous discovered his own fresh take of Melodic Techno: varied, rhythmically driving - and always deep.
