With a wide array of influences ranging from post-dubstep to UK drill and Bristol bass, Utrecht-based artist puurvuur has steadily become known for his versatility in production and dj sets. Although varying widely in tempo and style, his work always has an emotive and melancholy tone, owing to his classical training in piano. Mostly interested in what lies in between the established genres, puurvuur's productions - from laidback originals for headphone listening to explosive, dancefloor-oriented edits - always try to go down new, unexplored paths. Next to producing and DJ’ing, puurvuur is also active in the local scene as radio host and part of multiple collectives.
